Planning for your future is something that you have to take seriously. You have to be prepared for anything that is going to come up at anytime. When you have the tools to make sure that you are doing all that you can to keep current with your self-development for your education and career, you will find that getting to where you are going will happen.

Having self-development is something that you need to grow as a person and do the things that you want to in your career. Being someone that is confident and who feels good about the choices that you make in life will help you be a better person. You will be able to feel good about the choices that you make and the way that you carry yourself when you are looking for a better life.

You should not be afraid to go after your dreams and do what you want in life. This is so important so that you are able to make a difference in your life and be able to bring more enhancements to your education and career. If you are looking to improve your job status and make a difference in the work that you do, you may want to think about finding your own self-development first. Once you have accomplished this goal, you will be able to better proceed with the goals and dreams that you have set aside for yourself.

Keeping your confidence levels up high is important too. You need to keep thinking that you are who you are and that you are great. Getting to the point where you can feel good and secure with yourself will make you a happier and healthier person too. You will not have to worry about anything and the goals that you have set aside for yourself will come into play. You should think about these things and know that if you put your mind to it you can have these goals and dreams accomplished so that you are living the life that you have dreamed for so long.

There are classes and seminars that you can take to better yourself when it comes to getting ahead in your own personal development. You can take advantage of these great options to make your self think and feel better about whom you are and what you are doing with your life. These courses are going to answer questions for you and go over the options that you can have for a better and more successful self-development. You have to be willing to grow and become a better person if you want to be as happy and successful as you can.

Think about all of the options that you can have for self-development. What is going to work best for you and the way that you want to be in life? What is going to help you discover who you want to be more than anything else is? These are all questions that you need to have answered so that you are able to make the most of your life and whom you end up becoming. This is your chance to be a better person and to grow into what you want to become. It is all about whom you are and what you want to do for your own personal growth.

Let’s “find you some self-confidence, you jack wagon!”

If you watch television, I am sure that you have seen this Geico ad with the former drill sergeant as a “terrible therapist.” As funny as the ad may be, if you want any chance of success in your new sales career, you need to find self- confidence. I’m not talking about that “I can do anything!” confidence that you get from some so-called motivational speakers. That just isn’t real or practical.

If you are an adult and you lack sufficient self-confidence, unfortunately there is no quick fix. The lack of confidence is probably rooted within pretty deep, and this will take time and commitment to overcome; a lot more time and commitment than I have in this article. However, there are some ways that you can get boosts of self-confidence while you work on a more permanent fix.

Never discount how much little things can help. Have you ever heard the suggestion of putting positive affirmations onto post-it notes and sticking them to your bathroom mirror? I know it sounds corny, but it really can help if you accept the possibility that it can.

Try this exercise for thirty days. Use Google to find positive affirmations online. Once you find three that you feel describe how you want to feel, write them on sticky notes and put them on your mirror. Everyday, look at yourself in that mirror and speak these affirmations to yourself, out loud. That’s important! Do not mumble or whisper. Stand up straight, look yourself in the eye, and speak the affirmations with conviction and as if you truly believe them. If you commit to do this everyday, at least once per day, you will find that you start believing what you are saying. After about thirty days, you have probably been able to reprogram your brain to believe what you have been telling yourself.

Is this still not quick enough? Well, get back to those little things. What are you doing all of this for? Do you have a family to support? If so, figure out where you spend most of your work day and make sure the picture is where you can see it all day. That constant reminder of why you are out there everyday can move you to do great things. You can take that a step further with what I call a “dream board.” Post a bulletin board at home and tack pictures of some of the things that you most want to work towards. Do you really want that shiny new car? Then find a picture and put it on your dream board. Be sure to look at it everyday as a reminder of why you get up and go to work.

Finally, remember those “so-called motivational speakers” I mentioned earlier? While they do offer an unrealistic sense of confidence, they can provide that quick boost you may need. If you spend much of your day in the car, listen to CD’s or tapes from some of these motivators. Their words can give you that quick, albeit short-lived, boost you need before stopping to make those cold calls. Additionally, many of these motivational recordings do have value. If you get past the “rah-rah” aspects and actually put some of the ideas into practice, they can really help over the long-term.

In short, don’t give up. All of this may sound too simple to actually work, but maybe that’s why so many people out there walk around thinking “I can’t do it.” Anyone can accomplish anything if the desire is strong enough. Maybe you don’t feel too good about the odds now, but get some perspective. If you make your reasons strong enough and the possible outcomes attractive enough, you might just surprise yourself.

thank you to youtube user JulieandJessie for inspiring this video. you broke my heart into a million pieces with your video to me. I relate SO much, more than you know….you’re blessed, its about time you know it, own it, and love it…love you! HER VIDEO TO ME www.youtube.com I really didn’t know how to go about making this video…I get asked alot “how do you have so much self confidence?” “where did it come from?” – to be honest I don’t know. the answer I give alot of people is – something inside of me tells me I’m meant for great things, and that I truly believe…. but as I go through life, experiencing different people and events, and doing my own self finding journey, I came up with a few different ways to think POSITIVE about yourself even when others try to bring you down (and believe me – they will try and bring you down) I hope this helps! “why fit in, when you’re born to stand out?” ox Trish
